Subject to a stringent vetting and diligence process, including thorough background checks, the applicants of Citizenship Program Malta and their dependants are granted citizenship in exchange for such contribution. The Republic of Malta is a southern European island state in the Mediterranean. It consists of the three inhabited islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino, as well as the uninhabited small towns of Cominotto, Filfla, St. Paul's Islands and Fungus Rock. The most characteristic geographic feature of Malta is the diversity of its coastal lines, which is particularly evident on the main island. The east and north-east sides of flat beaches and wide coves such as Marsaxlokk Bay, Marsamxett Harbor, Grand Harbor, Mellieħa Bay and St. Paul's Bay are marked by sharp coastal sections with rock formations and to the south-west and north grotto-like incisions. Malta has subtropical, dry Mediterranean climate. This balanced sea climate is characterized by mild, humid winters and dry, warm but not excessively hot summers.
